He's just too cute for words....yes I know we are so WHITE TRASH, just ignore the surroundings, ignore the messy hair, ignore the dirty face, and admire the handsome man! I just love this baby's eyes, so a lot of the pictures focus on his gorgeous eyes:)

Our attempt at camping
One weekend Lover Boy and I decided to take a weekend to ourselves and go camping.
On the way up Lover Boy surprised me with a new camera:) YAY, mine had broken a few weeks earlier. So many of the pictures we took we're testing out the features:)
We drove up Monte Cristo and found a "perfect" little spot. However upon pulling in, the road appeared to be moving, there were little critters darting all over the pathway. I freaked, I HATE critters of all sorts! I informed Lover Boy there was absolutely no way on God's green earth I was sleeping outside, I would sleep in the Jeep.
We really had a good time. We took Molly with us and she indulged herself with the beautiful landscape and running free. We made yummy hobo dinners and just relaxed. We ended our night playing cards. I love playing cards with Lover Boy, I always lose but it's just something fun to do with him. You know watch him be so proud that he wins constantly!
The following morning our campground was bug infested so we decided to get out of there and go for a hike in Ogden. We hiked a little ways up waterfall canyon but it was midday and very hot, so needless to say we didn't make it to the top. But on our way down we did snap a picture (using my wonderful zoom) of the Ogden Temple, it was just such a beautiful view.
We had such a wonderful time together relaxing and being lazy...however I did cry each night because of my stinking motherly instincts and missing the kiddos. Yes, I know I'm crazy, I should've just completely enjoyed myself and not thought a second thought of them...but I couldn't.

Hell might as well have frozen over
I got a dog!!
Ahh...but she is cute right?
Meet my pitbull/boxer Molly!
Brief history on Trichelle: doesn't like animals,
not friendly to animals (does not mean I'm cruel to animals however),
scared of ALL animals; hence not an animal person in any way shape or form.
Until about the time I got pregnant with Little Man I was so baby hungry, but figured that wasn't going to happen (oh the irony) so I decided that for Little Princesses 3rd birthday she would get a dog. I suppose I just needed something more to care for, don't know what it really was but I was dead set on getting her a puppy. Then I found out I was pregnant and immediately withdrew any feelings for an animal.
We went to our friends Nate and Maggies for dinner Sunday night (July 5th) and they had this adorable little puppy. Turns out she had been found by their friend and when they went to return her to the owners they found many abused dogs in the back yard on chains starving to death practically, so they took Molly to the Vet to get checked out. Maggie then got a call and heard the story, the little animal lover that she is said she'd pick up the puppy and find her a home (they already have 2 dogs who are a handful). Well no one they knew wanted this puppy so they still had her a few weeks later. While they were telling the sad sad story about the shape she was in when they got her, my heart ached for this beautiful dog. I looked at Lover Boy, he looked at me and we asked each other permission to take this puppy home with us.
YIKES!!! Did I just offer to take this dog? Did I just ask Joe for a dog? Something must be going on here, because just the day earlier I'd considered getting Lover Boy a kitty...DON'T even get me started on cats. I will just say that I absolutely HATE cats, they terrify me!
I was so nervous that we were now dog owners. I don't know the first thing about caring for a puppy, kinda like laying in the hospital bed when the dr lays the little miracle of life across your chest and congratulates the new mommy.
Lover Boy informed me that she'd be sleeping in doors with us. GULP. uh...OK.
It worked out ok for about a week, when I woke up to a stench; the most awful stench ever. I glanced around the room with very heavy tired eyes and didn't see anything so I shook Lover Boy and told him Molly pooped!! He assured me that it wasn't her, because he'd just farted. UGH!!!! I tried to sleep but the stink was too much...finally tiredness won and I fell back to sleep. Morning came and Lover Boy discovered a most suprisingly treasure just outside our room. Molly had diarrhea!
I will admit, I was relieved to hear that it was the dog and not his stinky bum producing that smell.
Well after another accident, Lover Boy said that she was going to have to be an outdoor dog. PHEW, relief.
Little Princess has done amazingly well considering just how terrified she has been of dogs. Every time we leave the house she would ask if Molly could come "cuz I wuv her mommy". Somedays she forgets that she likes Molly and that there is nothing to be afraid of (you know after she's been at gramma's or her dad's house), but all in all she's really good with Molly.
Little Man just loves her too. He hasn't learned to be afraid of dogs yet and so hopefully this will help prevent that fear. -crossing fingers-

PARADES
Oh what a Parade!! I really do love parades, and I did love this one too.
We ended up at the Hooper parade this year and were in for a special treat.
First off there was the REDNECK, the guy who built his fence or whatever with cars and tractors and what not to make a point to his neighbors that he lives in the country and can do whatever he'd like on his property or somthing like that (he really is famous...afterall he was on Jay Leno for this); then they had the Dukes of Hazard car (of course not the real one) which scared Little Man right out of my arms when it revved the engine up; following those were many flatbed trailers with primary children or families on them; THEN there was a garbage truck, yes a real life garbage truck!!

Finally an actual float passed by us,
a marching band (whom were all off step, didn't even look uniform at all), some cheerleaders and student government for the local jr. high and high schools, the Rodeo Royalty and other people on horses (LOL, I didn't even get a picture of the horses, just the pooper scoopers)
a few cars with random people in them; and then last but not least A SCHOOL BUS
(and the best part of this, there was no one inside it, just one person waving a flag,
not even an american flag)!!
What an amazing parade!! Really it was fun to be at and poke fun at the "floats" or whatever you'd like to call them.
Oh, yes and there was this cutest little girl, she went crazy over everything that passed in front of her, you so can't see it in the pictures but she was waving and squeeling and just getting so excited over everything, that was priceless to watch.

And then it was over...and off to Willard for a day of boating. Hoorah!

A lazy day at the pool
Thank goodness for friends with sisters who have community pools in their neighborhood...what would we do without them?! Seriously!
I'm not one who thoroughly enjoys the summer. I don't much care for temperatures over 85 degrees so summer in Utah isn't real enjoyable unless you are out on the lake or anywhere near water, so we are so grateful for our friend Emily inviting us to go swimming!
Emily, along with all my other friends, is so good to do activities that my kids would enjoy. I admire my friends for altering their schedules or activities so that I can join along with my kids and husband. Sometimes it is hard to be the only or one of the few mommies in a group of friends, but mine do really well to include us. THANKS GUYS.
Anyways we spent a few hours at the pool. Little Man absolutely loved it. He even took his first steps in the kiddie pool...holding onto my fingers of course. My children had so much fun, both cried when it was time to go. I got them blocked up pretty good, but of course forgot myself...I used to "forget" myself on purpose to get a tan, but now-a-days I avoid the sun and if I'm in the sun I block up with the strongest stuff around! Luckily it never hurt. But, I sure did look like a leper about a week later.
