Our attempt at camping

One weekend Lover Boy and I decided to take a weekend to ourselves and go camping.

On the way up Lover Boy surprised me with a new camera:) YAY, mine had broken a few weeks earlier. So many of the pictures we took we're testing out the features:)

We drove up Monte Cristo and found a "perfect" little spot. However upon pulling in, the road appeared to be moving, there were little critters darting all over the pathway. I freaked, I HATE critters of all sorts! I informed Lover Boy there was absolutely no way on God's green earth I was sleeping outside, I would sleep in the Jeep.

We really had a good time. We took Molly with us and she indulged herself with the beautiful landscape and running free. We made yummy hobo dinners and just relaxed. We ended our night playing cards. I love playing cards with Lover Boy, I always lose but it's just something fun to do with him. You know watch him be so proud that he wins constantly!

The following morning our campground was bug infested so we decided to get out of there and go for a hike in Ogden. We hiked a little ways up waterfall canyon but it was midday and very hot, so needless to say we didn't make it to the top. But on our way down we did snap a picture (using my wonderful zoom) of the Ogden Temple, it was just such a beautiful view.

We had such a wonderful time together relaxing and being lazy...however I did cry each night because of my stinking motherly instincts and missing the kiddos. Yes, I know I'm crazy, I should've just completely enjoyed myself and not thought a second thought of them...but I couldn't.
